Panel revealed for Teddy McCarthy Tribute Match

Ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s Tribute Game to the late, great Teddy McCarthy, Colm O’Rourke has selected an experimental Meath team with a number of players who are new to the panel getting a chance to impress while some more established members of the panel also start in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The full back line that lined out in Monday evening’s game against the Bradys Skoda Regional All-Stars returns en masse with Niall Murphy and Michael Murphy switching corners while Michael Flood once more mans the full back berth.  Behind them, Sean Brennan returns between the uprights.

Ronan Jones looks set to line out in the somewhat unfamiliar centre back position and he will be flanked by Ciaran Caulfield and Sean Coffey while Jack Flynn is partnered by Jack Kinlough at midfield. Jack O’Connor who had a huge impact when coming on as a sub in the Tailteann Cup Final returns to the starting XV at left half forward and he is joined in the half forward line by Daithí McGowan and Ruairí Kinsella who both started on Monday evening.

The forward line is completed with the inside line which consists of corner forward Aaron Lynch and Eoghan Frayne who are two more survivors from Monday evening and they are joined by Mathew Costello who lines out at full forward.
