Meath clubs urged to take part in Gaelic Games facilities survey

For the very first time the GAA, LGFA and the Camogie Association will conduct a survey of facilities in all clubs nationally and Meath clubs are urged to play their part.

In correspondence from Croke Park earlier this month, club secretaries in Meath received a link to a survey in order to allow all three associations accurately gauge the number and level of facilities that exist or are used by clubs nationwide.

Having an accurate understanding of the facilities being used by our clubs will enable the Gaelic Games Associations to identify current usage, while also allowing us to plan for future needs in order to reach our full potential. In addition the newly formed Meath GAA Demographics Committee plan to produce a comprehensive report on Gaelic Games facilities within the county once data is collated.

In order to complete the above, it is imperative that clubs in Meath play their part and complete the survey, which has been received by all club secretaries, as soon as possible. The link to the survey has been sent via email, only takes 10 minutes to complete and is best done on a laptop of desktop computer.

Meath clubs are being asked to outline facilities that they own, or have access to though third parties such as local authorities, community or school facilities. By co-operating the three associations and Meath GAA will be able to ensure that the unique challenges facing clubs are properly represented.

If clubs have any further queries relating to the survey, please email demographics.meath@gaa.ie.
