Knockout football begins in the Dalata Hotel Group Leinster U-20 Football Championship on Wednesday evening when Meath welcome Wexford to Ashbourne for the quarter final.
Ahead of that game, Cathal Ó Bric has rung the changes with thirteen of the side that started the Round 2 meeting with Westmeath a fortnight ago coming back into the starting XV. The two changes from that game sees Zach Thornton from the host club coming in to replace Cian Commons who misses out and Fiach Hartigan from Dunshaughlin replacing John Gormley.
The team will once more be captained by Tadgh Martyn from Slane who is one of three from his club in the match day 24 alongside goalkeeper Matthew Kealy and replacement goalkeeper Braydon Colfer.
Rian Early once more mans the edge of the square and he has Sam Jordan lining out to his right hand side and Ciaran O’Hare on his left.
Hartigan comes in as an indirect replacement for Gormley from that Westmeath game as he lines out at left half back, with Finn White moving inside to anchor the defence at centre back. Team captain Tadgh Martyn completes the half back line at right wing back.
Eamonn Armstrong and Michael McIvor resume their midfield partnership while Thornton comes in at left half forward to join Rian Stafford and John Harkin in that line of the attack.
The inside line from the Westmeath encounter resumes en masses as Ben Corkery, Jamie Murphy and Liam Jennings all return to the side.
