Local derby to kickstart bank holiday weekend action

The August Bank Holiday Weekend action in the Hurling Championships throws in this evening (Thursday) in Kilmessan when two sides with contrasting fortunes to date meet in Round 3 of the Ted Murtagh Clothing & Footwear, Trim Senior Hurling Championship.

 

Ratoath who opened up with a draw against Kiltale, came out last weekend and dispatched of the Na Fianna challenge by twenty-six points in a very impressive performance last Friday in Batterstown.

 

Blackhall Gaels by contrast lost out to Longwood on the opening weekend and had a chastening experience five days ago when Kiltale defeated them by (4-20) to (2-06), a twenty point losing margin.

 

These sides met at the quarter final stage of the 2023 Championship, where Ratoath came out victorious on a scoreline of (3-19) to (3-09).
