Meath Coaching & Games has established a link with Meath LSP in working with All Star Clubs in 2026.
We recently offered a practical All Star Workshop to all clubs in Dunganny, where we had 25 attendees from 8 clubs.
Our Participation Officers Ian and Ruth delivered a fantastic workshop to assist clubs with their All Star structure and weekly activities and, also, educated them on progressing and regressing activities to support the individual needs of their participants.
We had excellent engagement from each club, with invaluable learning from the mix of established/experienced clubs and new clubs currently being formed.
The following evening, Meath LSP Inclusion Officer, Terry Donegan, offered an online Disability Awareness Workshop to all existing and new club coaches/parents, where they could upskill on the support required and how they could assist participants, with additional needs, at their All Star Clubs. 11 participants completed that particular course.
Our next step in the process to support these All Star Clubs will be a “Community of Practice” event in late September where all clubs will come together to share insights and information about what has worked so well for them and, also, to discuss similar issues in the operation of such clubs.
Meath Coaching & Games and Meath LSP are working collaboratively in this venture and hope to increase our support of All Star Clubs through local visits to encourage our All Star Coaches and assist them on site however we can.
Clubs can request an All Star Workshop, by contacting either POs Ian, Ruth or CHG Christine and we will set a regional venue to cover those that missed our initial delivery.
