Eight months on from the All-Ireland Semi-Final against Donegal, Meath are back in Championship action on Sunday afternoon against Westmeath in the Leinster GAA Football Senior Championship Quarter-Final and the side selected shows six changes from that which lined out in Croke Park last July.
Coming into the starting line-up from that game are Aaron Lynch, Brian O’Halloran, Cian McBride, Jack Flynn, Jack O’Connor and Sean Brennan with Adam O’Neill, Billy Hogan, Conor Duke, Keith Curtis, Mathew Costello and Ronan Ryan all missing out on selection for various reasons.

Having done excellently between the uprights during the Allianz Football League, Sean Brennan will once more line out in goals and the defensive unit that he will be guarded by has a familiar look to it from the season to date as Seamus Lavin, Sean Rafferty and Brian O’Halloran link up in the full back line and Donal Keogan, Sean Coffey and Ciaran Caulfield once more form the half back line.
The game on Sunday will mark the 70th appearance in the Meath jersey for Lavin, almost 10 years after he made his Championship debut against Dublin.

Jack Flynn and Bryan Menton form the midfield pairing, with Jack O’Connor and Cian McBride on the wings of the half forward line as Ruairí Kinsella leads the attack from centre forward.
Team captain Eoghan Frayne will line out on the edge of the square and he will have Jordan Morris alongside him at top of the right and Aaron Lynch at left corner forward.
