Meath GAA will be holding a Youth Referee Course covering both Football and Hurling on March 11th in Dunganny from 9.30am to 11.30am for all who wants to start their Referee Pathway. David Gough and Sean Stack are two of the countries best Inter-County Referees and they will the hosting the course.
The minimum age is 16 years to partake. We would be hoping that clubs send at least two from each club. The cost will be €50.00 per person.
On competition, each Youth Referee will get a start up kit (jersey, shorts and socks), and they would start out refereeing at the U-13 age grade within the county.
In the coming days we will be releasing a Referees Pathway Booklet to all clubs highlighting the steps to become a referee at senior level.
We would ask that all clubs promote this to all who might be interested so make sure that the relevant sectors in your club is aware of the same.
