On a recent visit to Castletown N.S., Participation Officer Ian Malone gave us an insight into the coaching initiatives delivered by Meath Coaching & Games in our Primary Schools.
As the gates of the county’s primary schools swing open this week, Meath Coaching & Games’ Participation Officers are busy planning and preparing for a return to the yards and playing fields in the weeks ahead.
Meath C&G was active in 70 primary schools in the county during the 2024/25 academic year.
Participation Officers delivered football and hurling sessions to a total of 13,424 children, from junior infants up to 6th class, and worked hard in strengthening the links between the schools and their local GAA clubs.
We were in Castletown N.S. back in June to see Participation Officer Ian Malone in action and to hear more about the Coach Eíle Primary Schools programme.
