The June meeting of the Co. Committee took place this evening in the Centre of Excellence in Dunganny and delegates backed a proposal from the Management Committee that Cathal Ó Bric be appointed as manager of the U-20 Footballers for the 2024 season, succeeding John McCarthy who has worn the Bainisteoir bib for the last two seasons.
The Wolfe Tones clubman and former Navan O’Mahonys player was manager of the Meath Minor side which won the Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Championship in 2021 and has been involved with Development Panels in the county over the last couple of years since that success as well as managing Boyne Valley in the Regional Championship which was held in the latter stages of 2022.
Coiste na Mí C.L.G. wish to place on record our thanks to John McCarthy and his management team for their work over the last two seasons at the U-20 grade.
