Three Skryne players start on home turf for the U-20’s

There is sure to be a big local interest in the Leo Murphy Cup Round 3 game this evening around the Skryne area as three of their players line out for the Meath U-20’s on their home pitch. John Finnerty, John O’Regan and Oisín Keogh all line out as part of a strong starting XV unveiled by team manager John McCarthy.

Finnerty is joined in the full back line by two players who recently lined out on opposing sides in the Electric Ireland Fresher ‘A’ Championship Final with Brian O’Halloran of Maynooth University occupying the right corner back berth and Liam Kelly of the victorious DCU filling his usual full back slot.

A notable feature of the selection is also the Bowden brothers from Duleek-Bellewstown who both line out in the forwards after combining for a total of two goals and five points against Down a fortnight ago, a match in which Alan started and Tom came on as a replacement.

Throw in is at 19:30 in Skryne this evening and entry is free.
