Meath face Kildare on Saturday at 14:30 in Trim and the scenario could not be clearer for the team and management as they know a win would see them secure a place in the Allianz Hurling League Division 2 Final and promotion to Division 1B for 2026 but anything else will see Meath remain in Division 2 next year.

Ahead of the game, Johnny Greville and his selectors have named an unchanged team in terms of personnel but there are a host of positional switches from the side which started a week ago against Down.

Colm O’Riordan continues in goals but will have a new look full back line in front of him as Seán Coloe drops to corner back, Darragh Kelly moves from centre back to full back and Martin Healy pushes out from full back to corner back.

The half back line sees Lorcan Byrne revert to right half back from left half forward, Simon Ennis move back from midfield to centre back, while Domhnall Rogers pushes out to left half back from left corner back.

Kris Gorman and Jarlath Ennis will form a new look midfield pairing and in the half forward line, Nicky Potterton captains the side and leads the attack from centre forward, with Mikey Cole and James Toher from the host club on the wings.

The inside line sees Seán Quigley lining out at tip of the right, Damien Healy at full forward and Jack Regan at left corner forward.

Tickets for the game can be purchased in selected Super Valu/Centra stores or online via Meath v Kildare Tickets
