There was success on the double on Saturday evening in Páirc Tailteann for both the Senior Football and Senior Hurling sides as they recorded victories in their respective Championships.

First up were the hurlers who eventually pulled away from Tyrone to record a 0-28 to 0-20 victory which keeps aspirations of qualifying for the final alive.

Joint captain Jack Regan top scored with 0-11 over the seventy minutes, 0-05 of which was plundered from play.  In total ten players registered on the scoreboard with substitutes accounting for 0-06 upon their introduction.
