In advance of this afternoon’s Allianz Football League Division 2 Round 5 meeting with Westmeath in TEG Cusack Park, Meath have made two alterations in personnel from the side which defeated Roscommon by 2-18 to 0-17 seven days ago.
Supporters are reminded that this game has been pushed out to a 15:15 throw in time instead of the 14:00 throw in time which it originally had.
Coming into the side this afternoon is Daithí McGowan who makes his first start of the season and Daithí replaces Ronan Jones in a direct switch at left half forward. The second switch is a reversal of a late change last week as Brian O’Halloran replaces Adam O’Neill.
Billy Hogan continues in goal with the full back line in front of him having a settled look to it with Seamus Lavin (who is set to bring up the half century in total appearances) and Donal Keogan occupying the corner back berths and Seán Rafferty manning the edge of the square.
Seán Coffey dons the no. 6 jersey at centre back and he is flanked by Brian O’Halloran and Ciarán Caulfield.
At midfield Jack Flynn will once more be partnered by Bryan Menton who is set to make his seventy-fifth Allianz Football League appearance today.
The introduction of Daithí McGowan to the half forward line sees him link up with Conor Duke and Jack Kinlough and the inside line remains as it was last week with Jordan Morris, Shane Walsh and Eoghan Frayne lining out.
This game is all-ticket with every supporter including children U-16 requiring a ticket for admission and it is advance sales only with no cash taken at the ground.
