There will be a night to remember in Walterstown GFC on Friday May 26 at 19:30 when a book on two legends of Meath GAA is launched. Reynolds, A Family Memoir, written by well known Meath Chronicle journalist Jimmy Geoghegan tells the tale of father and son Pat and Paddy Reynolds. Both All-Ireland winners, they have the distinction of becoming the first father and son pairing to be awarded All-Stars.
Brought to you by Hero Books, the event will be special evening of reminiscing of past glories, as two great All-Star Meath Gaels are celebrated and regale their remarkable football and family stories.
The Master of Ceremonies on the night will be none other than Brendan Cummins from LMFM, while former Meath manager Sean Boylan will also be a guest speaker.
Of course the event couldn’t happen without Pat and Paddy’s former team mates and members of the 1967 Meath All Ireland Football Championship winning side, as well as members from the ’87 and ’88 All Ireland winning team, which Pat was involved with as a selector under Sean Boylan will be in Walterstown on the evening.
Paddy tasted All-Ireland glory in 1996 and in 1999 and there will be members from that team in Walterstown on the night too.
The Reynolds Family are donating royalties from the sale of the book to the Meath Football Development Fund, so be sure to get to the clubhouse in Walterstown on Friday, May 26 at 19.30 for this very special evening. All are welcome to attend
