Productive Saturday for County Senior Sides

Saturday May 20 proved to be a fruitful day for the Meath Senior Football and Hurling panels as both recorded victories away from home in their respective Championships.  The hurlers booked their place in the Christy Ring Cup Final when accounting for a stiff Sligo challenge while the footballers recovered from a shaky first half to defeat Waterford, with three second half goals aiding their cause significantly.

Éamon Óg Ó Donnchadha was in sparkling form up front for the hurlers as he helped himself to four points and caused the Yeats County side untold problems throughout while Jack Regan top scored with 0-10, 0-09 of which came from placed balls. The final score was Meath 0-24 Sligo 0-18.
