Potterton returns as Morris is ruled out

Fresh from the opening round victory over Mayo last weekend, Seoirse Bulfin has opted to make just the one alteration to the starting XV for Sunday’s visit to Ruislip for the Round 2 fixture against London.  Stephen Morris who left the fray during the second half last week misses out and he is replaced by Nicky Potterton who makes a well timed return from injury.

The resultant reshuffle sees Padraig O’Hanrahan move out from his more familiar berth at the top of the left to don the no.10 jersey as he switches flanks and moves out to the half forward line. Other than that the team lines up asa it did last week with Shane Brennan who was a late addition to the full back line in place of the stricken Damien Healy retaining his position at full back following an impressive performance manning the edge of the square in Páirc Tailteann.

From their League meeting just over a month ago, there are seven survivors on the Meath selection with Charlie Ennis, Éamon Óg Ó Donnchadha, Jack Regan, Mikey Cole, Seán Geraghty, Simon Ennis and Shane Brennan all lining out from the start once more.  Regan, Óg Ó Donnchadha, Ennis and Cole accounted for 2-18 of the sides total on that occasion and they will need to be on top form once more on Sunday if Meath are to come away with the victory.

Pa Ryan, another who has missed out on recent games, comes back into the match day panel as he takes his place on the replacements bench along with Jamie Leavy who missed out last week, with Tom Shine and Paddy Barnwell missing out.
