Shane O’Brien

I joined Meath GAA Coaching & Games as a Technical Games Development Co-ordinator in February, 2022.
My role involves providing Performance Analysis support to the Meath academy pathway, overseeing the Demographic Analysis project that will help to underpin the football and hurling coaching plan and supporting Regional GDCs with Club Pathway planning.

I have a MSc in Sports Performance Analysis and I’m GAA Level 4 Performance Analysis and ISPAS (International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport) Level 3 accredited.

A member of Simonstown Gaels, I also provide PA support to the Meath Senior and U20 football teams and I’m a tutor for the GAA’s ‘Introduction to Performance Analysis’ course.
