One alteration for U-20 Hurlers

After the stirring comeback last week which resulted in a draw match against Westmeath in the opening round of the ONeills.com Leinster U-20 Hurling Championship, Sean Corrigan has opted for minimal change in advance of the visit of Derry to Páirc Tailteann on Saturday afternoon with just the one alteration to the starting XV.

Daire Shine who was a late withdrawal from the starting line up a week ago, returns to his starting berth at centre back this week taking the place of Charlie McCormack who replaced him for the Westmeath encounter.

The substitutes for the game will be confirmed prior to the throw in.

After a solid display in goals last week, Ben Mather will continue between the uprights and in front of him will be the full back line of Cian O’Sullivan, Cian Colhoun and Conor Dixon.  Daire Shine will man the centre back berth and he will be flanked by Paul Hennessy and joint captain Craig Gilsenan.

The midfield pairing of a week ago remains intact with Mark Horan joined by the other joint captain, Tom Shine.  At half forward, Darragh Heffernan, Domhnall Rogers and Lorcan Byrne form a hardworking trio while the inside line is made up of Mark Leavy, 2021 Minor captain Paddy Barnwell and Patrick Jordan.
