Meath unveil selection for last four encounter

For the third season in succession, Meath and Kildare meet in the Dalata Hotel Group Leinster U-20 Football Championship Semi-Finals when they face off this evening at 19:30 in Cedral St. Conleth’s Park, Newbridge.

Two years ago Meath came away from Hawkfield with a five point victory and twelve months ago Meath came away from Ashbourne with an eight point winning margin after a game which was played in horrendous conditions.  Who will come out on top this evening and book a meeting with Louth in the decider.

Fresh from the victory over Longford three weeks ago, Meath have opted to go with the same starting selection but have made a couple of switches amongst the replacements as Ciarán O’Hare, Paddy White and Evan Kelly come in as John Gormley, Sean Betson and Thomas Sheridan make way.

For the fourth game in succession Finn Moore will line out in goals and he will have the by now regular full back line of Cillian Yore, Sam Jordan and Shane Callaghan in front of him in the full back line.  Colin Scanlon holds down the centre back berth, with Cormac Smith and Kyle O’Brien either side of him.

Team captain Michael McIvor once more links up with Paul Hennessy in the middle of the field and the forward unit is once more unchanged as Eoin McCrudden, John Harkin and Stephen Cahill make up the half forward line and Ben COrkery, Cian Commons and Cormac O’Donoghue link up in the inside line of the attack.
