Meath selection unveiled for top of the table clash

A massive crowd is expected to descend on Brews Hill this afternoon for the meeting of Meath and Monaghan in the penultimate round of the Allianz Football League with the two teams tied on eight points at the top of the Division 2 table along with Roscommon ahead of the game.

In advance of the game, the Meath starting XV has been announced and there is one alteration in it from the side which started against Westmeath a fortnight ago in TEG Cusack Park.  Coming into the side as a direct replacement for Thomas O’Reilly is Diarmuid Moriarty and the Curraha man is set to make his first appearance in the Meath jersey this season.

Billy Hogan continues in goals and he will have Seamus Lavin, Seán Rafferty and Donal Keogan in front of him in the full back line.  Adam O’Neill who came in as a late replacement two weeks ago for Seán Coffey will once more line out at centre back where he will be flanked by Brian O’Halloran and Ciarán Caulfield.

At midfield, the partnership of Jack Flynn and Bryan Menton will make a sixth appearance together of the season.  There is a youthful look to the half forward line where Diarmuid Moriarty at twenty-two years of age is the senior member.  He is joined by Conor Duke at right half forward and Jack Kinlough at centre forward, both of whom turn 20 this year. The inside line of the attack remains unaltered with Shane Walsh at full forward, Jordan Morris at top of the right and team captain Eoghan Frayne at top of the left.

This game is all-ticket with every supporter including children U-16 requiring a ticket for admission and it is advance sales only with no cash taken at the ground.  Tickets are available from selected Super Valu/Centra stores and are also available by scanning the below QR Code or by clicking the link – Meath v Monaghan Tickets
