With both counties having won their opening two group matches in the Tailteann Cup to date, Meath and Down go head to head on Saturday in Parnell Park in search of the victory which would secure them a direct passage to the quarter finals in two weeks time while the loser must play again in a preliminary quarter final next weekend.

Meath have opted for three changes in personnel for Saturday’s encounter from the side which defeated Waterford in Dungarvan two weeks ago.  Coming into the side are Adam O’Neill, Jack O’Connor and James McEntee and they replace Michael Flood, Cathal Hickey and Keith Curtis.

There is a first appearance on a match day panel for Ciaran Caulfield who has recently joined the senior panel after the conclusion of the U-20 Championship and he is joined on the replacements bench by Jack Flynn who missed out on the visit to Dungarvan.
