Longwood to pick up a first victory of the Hurling Championship?

The programme of fixtures in the Hurling Championships continues this evening (Friday), when we have four matches taking place in total across three different Championships.

The Ted Murtagh Clothing & Footwear SHC and JM Food Services IHC games are all ticket and are priced as follows.

  • General Admission – €10
  • Student/OAP – €5
  • Children U-16 accompanied by an adult attend for free.

Tickets for all the SHC & IHC games can be purchased via the Meath GAA App which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store

The K Windows & Doors JHC & J2HC games are pay at the gate and the admission fee is €5 per adult.

Clann na nGael and Blackhall Gaels have both been in impressive form having picked up two victories from two games to date in Group B of the Ted Murtagh Clothing & Footwear, Trim SHC and they will be looking to continue in that form when they take on Longwood and Kilmessan respectively.  Longwood in contrast have been finding the going tough thus far and continue to look for their first point(s) of the campaign having slipped to defeats against St. Peter’s Dunboyne and Blackhall Gaels to date.  Kilmessan, sit in third place on the table with two points, having fallen to Clann na nGael on the opening night and bounced back with a win two weeks ago when accounting for Dunderry.

In the JM Food Services Intermediate Hurling Championship, red-hot Kildalkey travel to Rathmolyon where they will take on Boardsmill.  After two games, Kildalkey have picked up a couple of very impressive victories and currently have a score difference of +46.  Boardsmill are likely to give them their toughest test to date though and they will be confident of pulling off a victory.

The sole game in the K Windows & Doors Junior Hurling Championship sees Killyon and Drumree meet in what is their second game of the Championship after both sides Round 2 fixtures were rained off two weeks ago.
