On behalf of the Meath GAA Sustainability & Climate Action Committee, we are delighted to invite your club to attend the Meath GAA “Play It Green” Family Inclusion Day on Saturday, 15th August 2026, from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at Devenish Park, Centre of Excellence, Dunganny.

This promises to be a fantastic morning celebrating Gaelic Games, community, sustainability and inclusion, with something for all ages to enjoy.

Each Meath GAA club has been allocated 20 complimentary tickets for members.  While attendance is completely free, places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage clubs to distribute their tickets among families, players, coaches and volunteers who would enjoy a memorable morning together.

The event will feature:

* Meet and greet opportunities with Meath GAA All-Stars and county players.

* Fun on-field games and activities for children and families.

* Interactive biodiversity workshops, nature-based learning and environmental activities.

* An opportunity to support Shauna Ennis’ fundraising campaign Plant the Planet in aid of the GPA Trees for Africa initiative, helping to create a lasting environmental legacy.

* A showcase of the outstanding work being delivered by Meath’s Green Clubs, highlighting the innovative sustainability, biodiversity and climate action initiatives taking place across the county.

* Sustainability displays and practical ideas demonstrating how every club and family can play their part in protecting and enhancing our environment.

The “Play It Green” initiative is about more than sustainability—it is about bringing our GAA community together, encouraging healthy outdoor activity, supporting biodiversity and inspiring the next generation to care for the environment while enjoying everything our Association has to offer.

To assist with planning, we ask that each club RSVP with the number of attendees from your allocation, no later than Friday, 7 August 2026.

As places are limited, any unused allocations may be offered to other clubs after this date.

We would greatly appreciate your assistance in promoting this event within your club and encouraging as many families as possible to take part in what promises to be an enjoyable and inspiring morning for the entire Meath GAA community.
