Hurling Championship Round 2 Results

It was a weekend of big victories and tight encounters in the Hurling Championships as Round 2 of the Ted Murtagh Clothing & Footwear, Trim SHC and the JM Food Services IHC took place as well as the opening games of the K Windows & Doors JHC & JBHC.

Trim, Ratoath and Kiltale recorded hugely impressive wins in the Senior Hurling with Kildalkey bouncing back from a disappointing opening weekend loss to Trim when defeating Kildalkey.  Clann na nGael recovered from a loss to Kilmessan when taking care of St. Peter’s Dunboyne in a tight game on Sunday and in the local derby between Killyon and Longwood, it was Killyon who came away from Boardsmill with the two points.

In the IHC, Rathmolyon edged a thriller against Kilskyre/Moylagh in Kildalkey and in the other two games in Group B, Boardsmill made it two wins from two when taking down Kildalkey and Trim bounced back from losing to Boardsmill on the opening weekend to defeat St. Patrick’s.

Group A saw Navan O’Mahonys win the battle of the town sides when defeating Gaeil Colmcille in Kilskyre in a tight encounter but it was more comfortable for Drumree when taking care of St. Peter’s Dunboyne.  The third game saw Donaghmore/Ashbourne defeat Wolfe Tones by six points.
