Coiste na Mí C.L.G. have this morning (Saturday) accepted the resignation of Martin O’Halloran from his roles as Chairperson of the Hurling Development Committee and also as Leinster Council Delegate on personal and health reasons.

Martin has been a long serving member of our Management Committee and has previously been an award winning PRO, winning both MacNamee and Leinster Awards for the programmes he produced when in the role.

Among the roles Martin has held over his distinguished service in Meath GAA were as Hurling PRO, County PRO and as Leinster Council Delegate.

Co. Board Chairman Jason Plunkett thanked Martin for his efforts saying “For more than twenty years Martin has given wonderful service to Meath GAA and there are few if any people in the county more passionate about Meath Hurling than he is”.

I wish him all the best and hope that in the not too distant future that Martin will be back on the sidelines and in the meeting rooms, doing what he does best and driving Meath GAA forward.”

A very proud Rathmolyon man, Martin took great delight in 2023 when Meath won the Christy Ring Cup and League double and was was also a key cog in the admistrative wheel when Meath won the Christy Ring Cup in 2016 and 2019.
