Greville rings the changes for Down test

Ahead of Sunday’s Allianz Hurling League Division 2 Round 4 meeting with Down in Trim, Johnny Greville and the Meath management team have made four changes in personnel from the side that defeated Tyrone in Garvaghey two weeks ago.

Coming into the side from the outset this time are the Ratoath duo of Colm O’Riordan and Domhnall Rogers, Kilmessan’s Lorcan Byrne and Mikey Cole who will line out on home soil in Trim. They come into the side in place of Philip O’Brien, James Kelly and James Toher who all revert to the replacements and Mickey Burke who misses out on the 26.

In addition to this there are a number of positional switches including Ben Holden moving inside from left corner back to full back, Kris Gorman reverting to the half back line from the half forward line and Jack Regan moving out to centre forward from the full forward berth he occupied against Tyrone.

There are three sets of brothers lining out among the starting selection with Jarlath and Simon Ennis, Domhnall and Cian Rogers and the Cole brothers Joey and Mikey all set to start.

Colm O’Riordan lines out between the uprights with the full back line of Jarlath Ennis, Ben Holden and Domhnall Rogers in front of him.  Kris Gorman will occupy the right half back berth and he is joined in the half back line by Daire Shine and Simon Ennis.

James Cooke and Joey Cole continue their midfield partnership having impressed to date and lining out alongside Jack Regan in the half forward line are Evan Fitzgerald who registered 1-03 against Tyrone and Lorcan Byrne.  The full forward line has a potent look to it with all three fond of raising a green flag as Mikey Cole, Cian Rogers and Nicky Potterton team up.

Tickets for the game on Sunday at 13:15 in Trim are available from selected Super/Valu or Centra stores or by clicking the link: Meath v Down Tickets
