There was joy for both St. Colmcille’s and Syddan on Friday evening as both clubs picked up League silverware when claiming the honours in the Division 8 and 10 Finals respectively.
In Walterstown, there was a unique ending to the game when Brendan McGill and Kyle O’Brien (father and son) both proudly accepted the trophy on behalf of St. Colmcille’s following a hard fought victory over Dunderry.
The Division 10 decider which was played in Cortown saw Syddan edge a thriller on a scoreline of 3-11 to 2-11 over St. Brigid’s.
Kilmainham survived in the PS Supplies Division 3 Relegation Playoff when defeating Nobber by two points and in the Tommy Dowd Oil sponsored Division 6 Relegation Playoff, St. Peter’s Dunboyne conceded a walkover to Donaghmore/Ashbourne.
