There is a busy night ahead on Tuesday in the All County Football A Leagues with a full round of games down for decision which were previously postponed due to inclement weather. When Round 2 was down to be played earlier in the year, there was barely a pitch playable in the county and the CCC made the decision to defer the entire round.
Among the eye catching games in Division 1A is the clash of near neighbours Gaeil Colmcille and Wolfe Tones which is a precursor to their opening round meeting in the Fairyhouse Steel SFC at the end of July. Skryne and St. Peter’s Dunboyne meet in Skryne in another eagerly anticipated encounter.
In Division 1B, Seneschalstown defeated St. Michael’s on Friday evening but there are still four games down for decision. Oldcastle have the long journey to Ballinabrackey while in Paddy O’Brien Park, we have a fascinating game between two sides who will have aspirations of winning the Meade Farm IFC later this year when Navan O’Mahonys host Walterstown.
There is a full round of fixtures in Division 2A and two clubs who often form an Independent Team together at juvenile level meet in Bective as the hosts welcome Dunsany. Blackhall Gaels welcome Drumbaragh Emmets to Batterstown in another game of note.
In Division 2B, there are just two games down to be played with Carnaross and Ballinlough meeting in Carnaross and St. Peter’s Dunboyne welcoming Castletown to the Rooske Road.
There is a clash of colours in Division 3B when St. Brigid’s play host to Simonstown Gaels to the north of the county and their near neighbours Moylagh travel to Kilmainhamwood with Kilbride hosting St. Colmcille’s in the other game.
There are two games slated to be played in Division 3B with St. Mary’s traversing the county to play Clonard while Boardsmill and Cortown meet on Thursday evening in Boardsmill.
