Between Friday and Saturday evening, there are two massive games in store for our county football sides as the Minors contest the Electric Ireland Leinster Football Championship Final and the Seniors get the GAA Football All-Ireland Championship underway.
For the first time since 2021 Meath contest the Leinster Minor Final and it is a repeat of the 2028 decider as we take on Kildare in Laois Hire O’Moore Park at 19:35 on Friday.
Will Harry McGuirk follow in the footsteps of Liam Kelly who raised the Fr. Larry Murray Trophy in 2021?

Less than 24 hours later, the next chapter of the Meath and Cork rivalry will be written when the two counties meet in the opening round of the GAA Football All-Ireland Championship in Páirc Uí Rinn.
When the sides met in the opening round of the 2025 Championship, Meath came away from Páirc Tailteann with a four point victory and in two games in this year’s Allianz Football League the scorecard reads that there is a win apiece so another tight encounter is anticipated.
