Ian Malone

I played underage for Meath Hill/Drumconrath from Under 8 to Under 21 and I am currently playing adult football for Meath Hill.

I was part of the team to win the junior championship in 2017, the club’s first in 37 years.

I first started coaching at 12 years old as an assistant at our local Summer Camp and volunteered for over 10 years.

I joined Meath C&G in November 2019 as a GPO (now PO).  Since starting, I’ve gained an Award 1 coaching qualification and I’m now a qualified Coach Developer.  I also have a Degree in Sport Science & Health.

My favourite part about the job is meeting and educating new and existing coaches. I’m particularly proud of how many newly qualified coaches I have tutored in North Meath and I’m really looking forward to seeing the impact they will have on the next generation.
