Round 3 of the Hurling Championships draws to a conclusion today (Sunday) with six games on the cards. Note all games are either at 11:00 or 18:30 to facilitate supporters who are also going to Croke Park in support of the Meath Camogie team who are in the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Intermediate Championship Final at 14:45 in Croke Park.

The Ted Murtagh Clothing & Footwear SHC and JM Food Services IHC games are all ticket and are priced as follows.

General Admission – €10
Student/OAP – €5
Children U-16 accompanied by an adult attend for free.

Tickets for all the SHC & IHC games can be purchased via the Meath GAA App which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store

The K Windows & Doors JHC & J2HC games are pay at the gate and the admission fee is €5 per adult.

Ratoath and Kildalkey meet in the Ted Murtagh Clothing & Footwear Senior Hurling Championship in Páirc Tailteann and it is something of a must win game for Ratoath who, having lost to Kiltale in Round 2, cannot afford a second defeat if they are to progress directly to the semi-finals by coming in the top two of the group. Kildalkey struggled somewhat in Round 1 to overcome Na Fianna but they were much more impressive the last day against Killyon. A repeat of that performance might not be enough to defeat Ratoath but they are progressing nicely.

There is also something closely resembling a must win game in Group B for Dunderry who sit bottom of the Group after two defeats to date. They were very unfortunate not to take something from their opening game against Blackhall Gaels as a square ball decision at the death went against them before they were disappointing in Round 2 against Kilmessan. St. Peter’s Dunboyne are a side struggling to shake off the effects of emigration at present and haven’t as deep a panel as they would have had twelve months ago. But they will know that a win here puts them back in the hunt for a top two finish and a quarter final place.

In Group A of the JM Food Services sponsored Intermediate Hurling Championship, Navan O’Mahonys and Gaeil Colmcille meet in Athboy. O’Mahonys have yet to pick up a point after two games while Gaeil Colmcille lost out in Round 1 before their Round 2 game against Rathmolyon was lost to the weather. Whoever loses here will face a tough task not to end up propping up the table at the conclusion of the group stage.
