There is welcome news on the injury front for the Meath U-20 Football team ahead of Tuesday evening’s Eirgrid Leinster U-20 Football Championship Group 1 Round 3 fixture against Laois as John Finnerty and Killian Smyth make a welcome return from injury to take their place on the substitutes bench. Although that good news is somewhat tempered by the fact that Christian Finlay who came on as a replacement last week against Carlow, misses out this week through injury.
Tom Bowden who has impressed during the season to date, mostly as an impact replacement, comes into the starting XV in place of Hughie Corcoran who reverts to the bench. The resultant reshuffle sees Sean Emmanuel revert to the right corner forward berth he occupied against Longford a fortnight ago with Bowden coming in at right half forward.
Elsewhere, the back six remains the same as last week with Brian O’Reilly anchoring the defence from centre back with Liam Kelly occupying his customary full back spot behind him. Brian O’Halloran and Conor Ennis fill the corner back positions while John Finnerty and Shaun Leonard continue in the wing back slots.
Apart from the change with Bowden coming into the team and Sean Emmanuel reverting to corner forward, the forward line remains the same as that which lined out against Carlow.
