Two changes for Treaty test

There are two enforced changes on the Meath starting XV for Sunday’s crucial Allianz Football League Division 2 Round 5 fixture against Limerick with the suspended Harry O’Higgins and the injured Darragh Campion being replaced by Cathal Hickey who returns having missed the Louth game with a knock picked up in training and Pauric Harnan who makes his first appearance of the season.

Other than that, Colm O’Rourke and his management team have given a vote of confidence to the players who took to the field of play last week against Louth.  Shane McEntee who was a late inclusion last Sunday for the injured Hickey, retains his wing back berth while after impressing at midfield, Jack Flynn once more resumes his burgeoning partnership with Ronan Jones.

Donal Keogan is in line to make his 80th successive appearance in League and Championship fixtures, having been an ever present since missing the Round 7 game of the Allianz Football League against Cavan back in 2015. Remarkably, Donal has started 78 of the subsequent 79 games, with the exception being the final round game against Mayo in 2021 when he was rested from the outset but came on as a half time substitute.
