Ahead of his first Allianz Football League game as Meath manager, Colm O’Rourke has named a team for Sunday’s Division 2 Round 1 fixture against Cork which shows eight changes from the side which played against Derry in the final game of the 2022 League. The seven players who played in that encounter and who line out on Sunday are Harry Hogan, Eoin Harkin, Donal Keogan, Ronan Jones, Jason Scully, Mathew Costello and Shane Walsh.
Coming into the starting XV are Adam O’Neill, Michael Flood, Cathal Hickey, Daniel O’Neill, Daithí McGowan, Cillian O’Sullivan, Darragh Campion and Jordan Morris.
Adam O’Neill will be making his debut for the Meath side having not played for the county at either Minor or U-20 in the past and he will be joined in defence by his elder brother Daniel who has made his return to the panel this year. Two others are making their League debut on Sunday and these are Michael Flood and Daithí McGowan in a side which will be captained by Donal Keogan.
