Eleven games on the cards on busy Sunday of action

There is a hectic Sunday of action in store today with a full programme of eight games in the Meade Farm Intermediate Football Championship and a further three in the Balreask Bar, Restaurant & Guest Accommodation Junior Football Championship.

The SFC action on Saturday saw Trim come away from Summerhill with a comfortable win over Na Fianna while St. Colmcille’s took the spoils in a high-scoring game in Donore as Seneschalstown were vanguished.  In Group D, there were wins for Gaeil Colmcille and Dunshaughlin over Donaghmore/Ashbourne and Simonstown Gaels respectively.

In the JFC, St. Ultan’s took the spoils in Devenish Park, Dunganny when defeating Dunderry, Carnaross took down St. Brigid’s in a thriller and the old adage of goals win games didn’t prove to be true in Rathkenny as Slane took the points route to victory over Syddan who netted three goals.
