Meath unveil selection to take on Louth

Meath are looking to continue the positive start to the Allianz Football League on Saturday evening (17:00) when facing off against Louth in Round 3 in Croke Park and Robbie Brennan has made one alteration to the starting XV that lined out against Cavan in Kingspan Breffni twelve days ago.

James Conlon who came on as a half time sub against the Breffni men, has been named to start at full forward, with Cian McBride reverting to the replacements bench.

In addition to this change, Charlie O’Connor who missed out on the Cavan fixture, returns to the match day 26 as he replaces James McEntee among the replacements.

After coming into the side for the opening round victory over Derry, Seán Brennan will once more line out between the posts as goalkeeper and the Dunderry man will again have a full back line in front of him of Seamus Lavin, Seán Rafferty and Brian O’Halloran.

There is a landmark Allianz Football League appearance in store for Donal Keogan as the Rathkenny man will line out for the 90th time in the competition, with his League debut having come in February 2013 against Monaghan.  Keogan will be joined in a very familiar looking half back line by Seán Coffey at centre back and Ciaran Caulfield at left half back.

After landing the late two-pointer that secured the victory over Cavan, Jack Flynn is once more named in midfield and he will be partnered there once more by Bryan Menton who is also set to make a landmark appearance in the Allianz Football League on Saturday evening, with the game set to be his 80th in the competition.

For the second game in a row there is an all-Dunshaughlin appearance to the half forward line as Ruairí Kinsella leads the attack from centre forward and he is flanked by Conor Duke at right half forward and Mathew Costello on the left flank.

The returning James Conlon will line out at full forward, with Jordan Morris at top of the right and team captain Eoghan Frayne at left corner forward.

Among the replacements, Jack O’Connor is in line to could bring up the half century of appearances in all competitions should he be given the nod to come on during the game.
