Greville rings the changes

Meath Hurling manager Johnny Greville has made a half dozen changes in personnel for Saturday’s Christy Ring Cup Round 2 fixture against Tyrone in St. Loman’s Park, Trim after the opening round defeat to London.

Coming into the side are Darragh Kelly, James Kelly, Seán Quigley, Mickey Burke, Cian Rogers and Joey Cole as Jarlath Ennis, Simon Ennis, James Cooke, Kris Gorman, Nicky Potterton and Seán Corbett all make way.

The surgery doesn’t end there with some positional switches also ordered by the team management.  Kyle Donnelly drops back to line out at corner back as does Seán Coloe, Damien Healy pushes into the full forward line from wing forward, Mikey Cole moves from the corner out to centre forward and Jack Regan switches out to corner forward from full forward.

Colm O’Riordan continues in goal and he has a new look full back line in front of him as Daire Shine who returned from injury last week as a late addition to the starting side continues at full back but he is now flanked by Seán Coloe at right corner back and Kyle Donnelly at left corner back.

Darragh Kelly who was named at full back last week before being a late absentee after an overnight visit to the A&E Dept. and then coming on at half time, will this week line out at right half back with James Kelly coming in on the opposite side.  They will have James Toher inside at centre back.

There is a new look midfield pairing as Seán Quigley and Mickey Burke partner up in the engine room.

Cian Rogers returns from injury to line out at right half forward and he is joined in the half forward line by the Trim brothers Mikey and Joey Cole, with Joey also returning from injury.

The inside forward line sees Damien Healy lining out on the edge of the square with Lorcan Byrne and Jack Regan either side of him.
