The annual Super 7s recently took place in Dunganny.
Organised by Meath Coaching & Games, the competitions took place over the following three dates:
- April 8th – Hurling/Camogie
- April 29th – Boys Football
- May 1st – Girls Football
In preparation for the Super 7s competition, Games Development Coordinators from each region ran Transition Year workshops in Post Primary schools.
The purpose of these workshops was to give students the skills to run Internal Leagues within their schools. The course also aimed to provide TY students with the knowledge and confidence to mentor teams and officiate competitions.
The Super 7s competition proved to be great days for players and mentors.
13 Post Primary Schools competed over the course of the three days. We had 250 players participating in the competitions and 60 Transition year students assisted in mentoring teams and refereeing matches.
