1 Senior A and 3 Senior B games top the bill

With one game remaining in Round 2 of the Ted Murtagh Clothing & Footwear, Trim Senior Hurling Championship, there are no sides currently with the maximum four points but that could all change in Devenish Park, Dunganny this afternoon when Trim go in search of their second victory but could Kildalkey turn them over in what is shaping up to be a wide open race for the Jubilee Cup?

There are also three games on the cards at 14:00 today in the Loman Dempsey Property Consultants Senior B Hurling Championship and two in the opening round of the K Windows & Doors Junior Hurling Championship.

Sixteen days ago Trim overcame Na Fianna in Rathmolyon by 0-21 to 0-16 but were far from their best on the evening and Declan Murray will be well aware that his side will need to show a marked improvement if they are to make it two wins from two games against a Kildalkey side that will be smarting from their opening round defeat to Kiltale.

Joey Cole and Mark Molloy form the engine room of the Trim side at midfield and they will relish the challenge posed by Patrick Potterton and Brín Kelly.

Brian O’Halloran is rumoured to be an absentee for Kildalkey despite being named to start at full forward and if those rumours are to be believed and if James Murray is a late addition to the Trim side after being named among the replacements then this could be a massive swing between the two sides.

When they are in top form there are few better inside lines of the attack than Kyle Ennis, Alan Douglas and Mikey Cole but they will face a stiff test against David Conneely, Cian Colhoun and Edward Dunne.  Whoever can come out on top in this battle will go a long way towards deciding who comes away from Devenish Park with the spoils.
