Can you do some or any of
the following :-
- Sing (solo or part of a group)
- Do Figure Dancing or Set Dancing (group)
- Do a Recitation
- Play Irish Music (as part of a group)
- Act (as part of a group)
- Quiz (as part of a team)
If you would like to perform in any of the above then
SENIOR SCÓR
the GAA’s Talent Competition for over 17s (on 1/1/13)
IS FOR YOU
Meath Co. Final in Skryne on
Sunday 3rd March at 7pm
SCÓR comprises eight separate competitions :-
- Figure Dancing (group of 4 or 8).
- Solo Singing (accompaniment allowed) – one song.
- Instrumental Music (group of 2-5) – two tunes.
- Novelty Act (group of 2-8) – a sketch/ pageant.
- Team Quiz (individual answers are written).
- Set Dancing (group of 4 or 8) – two parts.
- Recitation (solo performers) – serious or funny.
- Ballad Group (group of 3-5) – two songs.
While songs, sketches and music have to be of Irish character
there is no need for any knowledge of or performance in the Irish language in any of the eight events.
The winners in each section in the Co. Final
will participate in the Leinster Semi-Final on Sunday 10th March in Clonaslee, Co. Laois at 5.00 pm.

- Co. Final of Scór na nÓg –
Saturday 1st December in Navan.

Just to remind you that the Co. Final of Scór na nÓg takes place this Saturday 1st December at 7.30 pm sharp in St. Mary’s Hall, Navan (the hall is in the grounds of St. Mary’s Church – entrance is off Trimgate Street).
Entry Form :- If your club is participating please ensure that you forward the Entry Form (emailed with Scór letter on 22nd October) to donalol@eircom.net by midday this Thursday 29th November at the latest. While entries will be accepted on the night that should only be as a last resort - we need to know in advance regarding entries so that a schedule and programme can be prepared.
Entry Fee :- The Entry Fee of €20 should be brought along on the night. That entry fee is €20, regardless of the number of events being participated in

Scór AGM and Meeting re Co. Final of Scór na nÓg Wednesday 19th September at 8.30 pm in Áras Tailteann.

Please note that the 2012 AGM of Coiste Scór na Mí plus a meeting to discuss and set the date for the Co. Final of Scór na nÓg (Junior Scór) in November will be held in Áras Tailteann, Páirc Tailteann on Wednesday night, 19th September, at 8.30 pm sharp. Every club should be represented at this meeting.
It is important that your club’s Irish Officer, or a substitute, should attend this meeting as we will be giving clubs information on Scór, advice on how best to get entries and discussing ways in which we can get a good level of participation from as many clubs as possible in the Co. Final of Scór na nÓg.

REMINDER :
Scór Meeting & AGM of Coiste Scór na Mí this Tuesday night

This is to remind you of the Scór meeting and Scór AGM tomorrow night, Tuesday, 18th January at 8pm in Teach na Teamhrach, Navan. It is very important that your Irish Officer or a substitute attend this meeting at which the forthcoming Co. Final of Senior Scór (on12th February), and, in particular, advice and discussion on how clubs can get entries for that, will be addressed. The AGM of Coiste Scór na Mi will also be held.
