Rounders’ Competitions Rules
Boys and girls competitions are by knock – out.
This draw was made before the last Cumann na mBunscol meeting on Monday June 20th.
Home team is the top named team who are responsible for marking the pitch.
The away team is responsible for the referee, who must be a teacher.
Size 4 sliotar is to be used.
Helmets are compulsory for catcher and pitcher.
Matches are to be of 5 innings. In the event of a draw 2 extra innings are to be played and if it is still a draw, it will be on a count back of which team won the most innings.
All schools must provide the telephone number and mobile number of the teacher in charge of the team to their Divisional Organiser. The scores are to be sent by winning team to the Division Organiser immediately after the game by text.
Division One Girls: Mary Walsh, St.Joseph’s, Navan
Division Two Girls: Tony Coogan, Cortown
Division One Boys: Liam O Bradaigh, St.Mary’s Asbourne
Division Two Boys: Tony Coogan, Cortown
All schools are asked to play the matches on schedule so the competitions can be completed within the following time frame.
Boys to begin Monday September 12th and continue September 19th, 26th, and October 3rd.
Girls to begin Wednesday September 14th and continue September 21st, 28th and October 5th.
Girls Wednesday October 12th
Boys: October 10th
Finals will be played in Navan O’Mahonys’ Grounds, Navan
