A training course for new referee’s will take place in 2017.

The course is for anybody interested in refereeing in both codes.

The names should be forwarded to the Referee administrator no later than 27th January 2017 –

  • Full details will be available when numbers are confirmed.

Both dates must be attended to receive full certification. Courses cost €10 in total and must be booked with relevant GDA before joining course. Foundation courses running on weekdays start at 7.30pm and on Saturdays they start at 10am and last about 2 hours.

Modules cover communication, building and breaking skills, physical literacy, team play and more!

All dates have to be attended to receive full certification and participants must have completed the Foundation Award.

Cost: €80pp. If 4 people from the same club attend a course, one place will be free. (4 for the price of 3).

Meath GAA are seeking to recruit Performance Analysis interns to work with County Development, Minor and U-21 squads.

Ideal candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of Gaelic football and/or hurling plus familiarity with Performance Analysis software (ie SportsCode, Dartfish, Performa Sports etc).

Formal and informal training will be provided along with ongoing support and the successful candidates will work closely with respective management teams to provide video and analytical reports on performance.

Duties will include:

  • Live game analysis of team, players and opposition.
  • Post game analysis of team, players and opposition.
  • Edit game footage and produce clips as directed by team management.
  • Video games and training as required.
  • Create and maintain a player performance database.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience of working in an Inter-County environment.

Availability to attend training and games is essential along with strong IT skills.
